A wonderland in the North Eastern part of the country, North Sikkim is one of the least explored destinations in the country. Jotted with scenic lakes, lofty mountains, colourful meadows, rich flora and dense forests, it truly proves to be a paradise for the visitors.
Green Lake near Lachen is one such hidden gem that allows amazing view of the Kanchenjunga and other glorious Himalayan peaks. Adventurers embark on the famous green lake trek Sikkim, to revel in the beauty of the mountains! The winding road that leads to this stunning lake is interspersed with a large variety of rhododendrons that are a sight for the eyes. Though the going is tough through rocky terrain and dense forests, the end result is worth the effort.
Day 01; Pick Up From Bagdogra / NJP Transfer to Yuksum. Overnight at Hotel. (1,780m.)

Day 02; Yuksom - Tsokha
Trek begins here. This trek takes you through dense verdant Semi Tropical forest occassionaly crossed by Crystal clear rivulets and cascading water falls up to Praig Chu. After lunch a steep climb for an hour brings you to Tsokha - a small Tibetian hamlet from where the first glimpse of the mountains can be seen. O/N at trekkers huts/tents. Approx. Alt. 3050m & Distance 16kms/6 hours
Day 03 :Tsokha to Dzongri (alt.4,500m).O/N at camp.
A steep trail zigzags up through temperate forest and large clusters of rhododendrons, to the vast clearing of Phedang. During April and May, the spectacle is gorgeous, as the land becomes a mass of flowers (400 species have been listed so far). After 300m, we follow the ridge to Dzongri, a pasture area for Yuksam yaks from April to October.
Day 04; Dzongri -Halt. Dzongri La alt.4,500m. (Acclimatization) Halt.
Depending on the fitness of the group, we could head northwest to the Dzongri, where the panorama is stunning, over the Rathong glacier and further out towards the summits on the border with Nepal. Or we could also organize a shorter ascent towards the Dzongri Peak (4320m) and enjoy a great view of Kanchenjunga (8586m), the third highest summit in the world.
Trek back to Tsokha. O/N at camp.

Day 06; Trek back from Tsokha to Yuksam. Transfer to hotel. O/N at Yuksam.

In case the trip is cut short or duration lost due to unforeseen reasons after arrival in Bhutan, no refund is available as the payment would have been already made to hotels and other logistics.
There shall be no charges for the number of days of delay either during arrivals or departures or both, due to weather conditions, communication problems, cancellation or delay in Bhutanese airline flights, sickness or any other legitimate reason as Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) may deem reasonable. However, the Tourist will be charged on the actual expenses on accommodation, food, transport and any other services provided.
